Here & Now | September 2018 Link-Up

Can you believe that after this Here & Now, there are only three left for 2018? I was quite shocked when I realised that! I'd love it if you'd join in!

Loving // The change of season, even if I'm unsure what the weather will be like on each day. We've had heavy fog, warm sunshine, noisy thunderstorms, rain, wind, dry and cool all in a week. September is so far being very unpredictable.

Eating // More salads and lighter meals as the days slowly warm up

Drinking // Herbal teas

Feeling // So much better than I did yesterday. Sunday was a day of nothing as I was hit with a sudden and very nasty bug of some kind. Luckily, I'm feeling back to normal today

Making // Socks! I didn't get any knitting done on the weekend - between a busy Saturday and feeling too sick to do anything on Sunday. So I'm still knitting on the first in my pair of Fair Isle flower socks. I've turned the heel and am onto the foot.

Thinking // About so many things! I've recently started making use of the reminder function on my iPad, and have been trying to write more things down. I'm also training myself to focus on more specific things each day, rather than trying to tackle an entire week in two days. It's making for less hectic days and a calmer feeling each evening, I'm also less tired. It turns out that I need to constantly 'update' my routine and way of doing things as my little business continues to grow and change.

Dreaming // Of a picnic by the beach, hopefully soon! I'm looking forward to visiting it now that spring is here.

  1. I am glad you are feeling better now! It's not nice to be unwell! I have to agree with the trying to cram '2 weeks into 1 day' mentality...it's a little bit crazy but still we try to do it! Thank you for hosting another lovely "Here and Now" ~ Megan

  3. Love that photo of the clover, Sarah. I love when clover comes in to bloom on the verges here and seeing all the bees that come to forage in it. Meg:)

  4. Hi everyone and just a quick note to say I agree with trying to organise and write lists. Definitely OK nicely need time management. Here in the UK the nights and mornings are dark now and there's a definite chill in the air. Autumn is coming. Enjoy the beautiful warmer weather everyone where you are :-)

  5. So glad you are feeling better Sarah, still lots of germs about everywhere unfortunately. We loved your photo of the bouquet of herbs- doesn't your brooch look so pretty against the grey background. Really looking forward to hearing how you find a NSW Spring and Summer and how your garden grows - all part of discovering more about your new home. I love lists too - but these days I am happy to just be working on the list - not just happy when all to dos are finished, trying to keep some flexibility wherever possible works best for me. Best wishes, Amanda R

    1. Thank you, Amanda! I'm loving wearing my brooches with different outfits - a nice alternative to wearing a necklace when I want some colour but not the annoyance of a necklace :-)

  7. Those veggie seedlings look so healthy. I hear you on the business front. I run mine from home around the girls and it's easy to put pressure on to do more than is actually possible!
    Glad you are feeling better.
    Cheers,
    Laura

    1. The seedlings are really powering along now! I think it's important to remember why we have our own business, and not make our own mini "daily grind" :-)
