Sock Knitting Workshop
Formerly known as the Sock Knitting Club, this online class breaks down the process of sock knitting into bite-sized pieces.
Knitting socks can seem overwhelming at first. With a large variety of techniques used, it can feel almost impossible to get started.
During the Sock Knitting Workshop, you'll be shown how simple and easy sock knitting is, so that you can begin filling that sock drawer with your own handmade socks.

Beginners Learn to Knit Workshop
This online workshop will set you up with the foundations of knitting in a fun, easy-to-learn way. You’ll learn and practise your new knitting skills whilst making a cosy, contemporary infinity scarf that you’ll be proud to wear.
I designed this workshop to teach knitting to people who are unable to attend my in-person workshops. Knitting is a rewarding, enjoyable hobby that really has no limits. I love that moment of joy when someone gets those first stitches onto their needles and wanted to help more people achieve that.

Colourwork Knitting Course
One of my most requested classes!
Stranded knitting (also known as colourwork or Fair Isle knitting) is probably my favourite technique and I love showing knitters how easy this kind of knitting is to create!

Your Membership gives you access to classes on advanced techniques such as Kitchener Stitch alongside tutorials on the very foundations of knitting.

As a busy person myself, I completely understand the reluctance to sign up for another thing!
You don’t need buckets of time to participate in the Academy (who has buckets of time?!).All lessons are recorded, and with instant access, you can login on at any time to watch lessons! You can also pause and rewatch lessons as much as you need!

About your teacher
My name is Sarah and I’m a knitting pattern designer, yarn shop owner and all-around knitting lover living on the beautiful Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Australia. After learning to knit as a child, hardly a day goes by when I don’t knit at least one row!
I’m a firm believer that learning should be as stress-free as possible (there will always be moments of frustration!) and fun and I strive to present all of my classes and workshops in a clear yet relaxed manner.
Teaching classes and workshops in my local area has been a rich and rewarding experience. It’s so satisfying and also inspiring to teach others all about knitting - seeing the look of delight on their face as they grasp the techniques and begin to enjoy themselves is something I won’t ever tire of!
As a pattern designer and also a yarn shop owner, I’m frequently having conversations with people about how they would like to learn a particular knitting skill. Often these people live too far away to attend one of my in-person classes, so after many requests, I began to teach people online.
Along with teaching knitters new skills, I wanted my courses to embody the same joy that is felt by my ‘real-life’ students. With this in mind, I encourage students to engage not only with myself but one another in our Academy Facebook Group.
