Knit It | The Little Brown Dog

The Little Brown Dog knitting pattern is here! I've been knitting and testing out this pattern, pulling it together from my faded notes, and now it is finally ready for you to knit!

Despite he's name, you could obviously knit this little fellow in any colour. I think he'd look pretty in a whole range of colours - imagine a rainbow collection of these knitted as gifts!
The Little Brown Dog was inspired by my sister's little dog, Henry. Whilst he is crossbred, Henry resembles Scottish Terriers in appearance and is a dignified little dog who takes life seriously.
I originally knitted the Little Brown Dog for my market stall a few years ago. He's designed to be relatively quick to make, and the sturdy shape is perfect for young children. He's worked with two strands of yarn at once, a combination of eyelash and DK yarn. The DK gives the fabric strength and durability, meaning you can firmly stuff your toy without the filling coming out.

You can purchase the Little Brown Dog pattern as a PDF on Ravelry here.

If you end up making one I'd love to hear all about it and see a photo too!
Happy knitting,

Sarah x
