Cinnamon Christmas Tree Tutorial

Knitting little, simple things at this time of year always brings me a lot of joy. As the days get longer and busier and the count down to the holiday season starts, more than ever I relish quiet moments creating.

A few weeks ago was scrolling through Pinterest looking for Christmas inspiration. I love the calmness of greenery mixed with warm sparkling lights. The more paired-back decorating style of dried orange slices and handmade ornaments always appeals to me.

I saw some felt ornaments that incorporated cinnamon quills for tree trunks and I knew straight away I needed to knit one.

This knitted tree needed to be simple, however. I selected the perfect green yarn and decided to knit the tree in plain garter stitch, emphasising the rustic look.

I’m so happy with the finished ornament and have whipped up quite a few. I’m delighted to share the pattern with you today!
This pattern is suitable for ALL skill levels. To make it even easier, I’ve put together a video tutorial on attaching the cinnamon quill, which you can find below.

Will you be knitting a Cinnamon Christmas Tree of your own? You can find the pattern here and the yarn I used here. 1 ball makes at least 8 trees!
