Knit It: The Sunshine Spots Square + A Bundle Just For You

Since sharing my Picnic Check Square with you, I have been enjoying designing more colourwork squares. I've been printing out graph paper and sitting up late at night with my pens and pencils - and my rubber for when I put a mark wrong!
The end result is these three cheerful squares - the Flower Check Square, Chevron Square and the Sunshine Spots Square. The lovely thing about these squares is that they are super fun to make, and they are now available on Ravelry to purchase as PDFs! I've made mine as squares to go in my spring blanket, but you could also make them for face washers, dishcloths or stitch 6 together into a cheerful block for a baby.
You can purchase them individually, but if you'd like all three than purchase in November using the code bundle01 to get the whole lot for $5! You'll find them in my Ravelry store here.

I remember when I first started knitting all those years ago, remarking to my sister that knitting patterns were so complicated I'd never ever be able to write one myself. I thought this for quite a long time, which is why it thrills me no end every time I knit up one of my own designs and it turns out exactly how I envisioned it. It makes me even happier that I get to share them with you!
Since releasing my first pattern at the beginning of the year I've been blown away by your response and support. I've come to love designing patterns and have a second toy in the works - so stay tuned!

I'm joining in with Ginny once again for the Yarn Along. And because I'm supposed to include a picture of what I'm reading but forgot again, I'll just add here that I am enjoying James Herriot's books once again. I love his style of writing and currently I am reading All Things Wise and Wonderful.

What are you knitting or crocheting or making or baking at the moment? Are you reading anything?
Do you create your own designs, write your own patterns or experiment with your own recipes?

Enjoy the rest of the week!
