A New Space for 2022

2022 got off to a busy start with the exciting work of moving Say! Little Hen to a new studio. This new space is much larger and - perhaps the best part - includes a Studio Shop that is now open.

It’s so nice to have all of the yarn out on display. The colours look so beautiful together and it’s really nice to finally be able to welcome people in-person.

Brining the studio together was no small feat. There were times where I felt the to-do list would never end. It seemed that for every task I ticked off another ten appeared!
Moving into the studio would have to be akin to moving house but perhaps combined with redecorating at the same time.

The shop part of the studio is only about 1/3 of the space. The rest comprises the area for the online side which includes an order packing area and office, plus much more. (There’s a lot of behind the scenes to an online shop!).

I want the studio to be a calm and welcoming space to visit. I’ve had fun adding lots of plants around the place. Next to knitting, plants are probably my next favourite thing! Whether inside or out they bring such a calm feeling, adding fresh green or pops of colour in a non-cluttering way that objects just can’t achieve.

I have joked that should I tire of running a yarn store, a nursery might be a good idea :-)

I hope you’ve enjoyed these photos of the Studio; I’m sure there will be more to come over the coming weeks and months. I know I’m bound to rearrange a few things over time.

If you’re able to visit the Noosa studio, hop over to this page for more details on how to get there + when we’re open.

Until next time, happy making!
